SUMMARY:ACH Jennings Office Open House
DESCRIPTION:ACH Child and Family Services invites you to tour our newest location at 1025 S. Jennings\, at the corner of W. Rosedale and S. Jennings in south Fort Worth. ACH has been serving Fort Worth for 109 years and during our Open House\, you'll learn more about two of our most asked for programs: youth and family counseling and resources for families who are caring for a relative's child or children.\n\n \n\nOur new office is in addition to our main campus on Wichita Street that oversees all of our 16 programs\, including those at our Wedgwood residential campus and the new Jennings location.\n\n \n\nACH Jennings Office Open House\n\n9-11 a.m.\, Friday\, January 26\n\n1025 S. Jennings\, Fort Worth\, Texas 76104\n\nPlease email to RSVP\n\n \n\nAt the Open House\, you'll be able to ask staff about the services they offer and tour the four-story facility. Here's what this convenient\, Southside location offers:\n\n \n\nReal Help for Real Life\n\n \n\n	Last year\, ACH has provided professional\, bilingual Youth and Family Counseling and Skill-Building Classes valued at over $1.7-million\, completely FREE OF CHARGE.\n	Whether it's anxiety\, depression\, conflict at home\, bullying\, anger issues\, behavior problems\, school attendance\, or thoughts of running away we are here and ready to help youth ages 6 to 17 and their families.\n	We have a success rate of over 90% for those completing our courses. Last year\, we served 1\,650 youth with 5\,365 hours of counseling. One youth said\, "Talking about my anxiety makes me feel better. I am able to communicate with my family more because they understand me. I feel less overwhelmed."\n	RHRL also offers Resource Connection Services to support families with basic needs such as food\, clothing\, and housing\, as well as referrals for medical care\, legal services\, long-term counseling\, and counseling for adult family members.\n\n \n\nKinship Navigator\n\n \n\n	A kinship family occurs when a grandparent\, aunt\, uncle\, or sibling is raising a family member. In 2021\, ACH was one of four organizations selected by the state to develop a program to connect kinship families to a network of resources and education. ACH already had a program to help those in the child welfare system\, but Kinship Navigator benefits all the kinship families in our community who are on their own.\n	The program provides resource navigation\, basic needs support\, peer support\, and one-on-one strength-based case management. From documentation needed for medical care\, school or school enrollment to finding resources like bedding\, clothing\, and food\, Kinship Navigators are ready to help.\n	Last year\, Kinship Navigator helped nearly 400 individuals. One said\, "Our Kinship Navigator gave us direction and resources. She gave me places to contact to help with food\, clothing and even testing for school. We were able to get big things accomplished with her help."\n\n \n\nSome quick facts about ACH: In 2023\, 38% of those we served were Hispanic\, 22% Black\, 20% white\, and 20% other. Of those: 19% had income ranges at $20\,750 or less\; 19% at $20\,751-$34\,599\; 23% at $34\,600-$55\,349\; 5% at $55\,350-$62\,999\; 10% at $63\,000 and above\; and 24% unknown.
