DESCRIPTION:The Job Links EXCELerator meeting is at Catholic Charities\, March 4\, 2015. Job Links is a monthly meeting that serves as a resource to the business community by bringing the employer and candidate provider together while also providing workforce and education information. I signed up to attend as a "Job Provider" unsure of what to expect but hoping to find potential job candidates.  What I found is infinitely more.  First of all\, Job Links is a business-to-business solution not a job fair for job seekers. \n\n \n\nFree   attendance is free\; presenting job openings is free.\n\nEach meeting is different because the presenters and attendees are different\, month to month.\n\n\n\nGreat networking opportunities   I have met potential employees\, potential clients\, referral sources for many different businesses\, government agencies and non-profits helping potential employees.  Many contacts have turned into friends and I look forward to seeing them each month to reconnect.  I have been asked to speak with several different groups and share my experience as an HR Manager and what I look for in potential employees and how to convey the information in a resume.\n\n \n\nExcellent resources   I discovered the Engineer Job Connect program which offers employers grant money to help with training and education of employees.\n\n \n\nMorning meeting   All Job Links events are held on the first Wednesday of each month (except January and July) with the location changing to different host institutions.  It gives me a chance to get to know more about each host company and see their facilities.  A breakfast buffet is provided with several opportunities to network throughout the event.\n\n \n\nAudience attendance   Even if you do not currently have job positions open\, I encourage you to come and mingle with businesses in the Fort Worth area.  You will not be disappointed."
