Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price will host Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, North Richland Hills Mayor Oscar Trevino, Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne and Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams for a discussion about our regional economy and how we stack up against other cities and states.
Discussion will revolve around challenges identified by a recent JPMorgan & Company skills gap report that takes a comprehensive look at available middle-skill jobs and how the business and education communities can work together to fill these critical, well-paying positions.
We will also present the Chamber’s Legacy Award to Bob Simpson in recognition of his lasting impact on the region, particularly for his restoration of several historic office buildings in downtown Fort Worth. Past recipients were former Fort Worth Mayor Bob Bolen, former Congressman Jim Wright and DFW International Airport.
