Mortgage Loan Disclosure Specialist

EECU is looking for a Mortgage Loan Disclosure Specialist who will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of all initial loan disclosures in a timely manner. Additionally, this position will follow up to obtain said documents, as well as assist the member with any questions presented in relation to approval requirements. This entails, but not limited to Purchase Money, (Conventional, FHA, VA), Home Equity, HELOC, Home Improvement, Interim Construction, Land, and Other Real Estate loan applications.

Key responsibilities for this position are ensuring all disclosures appropriate for the specific loan type are prepared, preparing post-close audit packages for third-party vendor, appraisal uploads to the LOS from our third-party vendor, and working directly with Members, Brokers, Realtors, Appraisers, Surveyors, Builders, and Mortgage Partner when needed. The successful candidate must be proficient in calculating debt ratios, loan to value ratios, and analyzing credit reports, as well as DU/LP underwriting findings, title work/abstracts, appraisals, sales contracts, flood certificates, surveys, insurance taxes, exemptions, escrow analysis, private mortgage insurance (PMI) and extensive knowledge of all loan types offered. The MLDS will provide additional assistance in obtaining any outstanding items to help facilitate the closing of the loan.  This position must understand RESPA, FCRA, TIL, OFAC, HMDA, BSA, and other applicable regulations. The candidate will be required to be registered with the State of Texas, which will include, a unique identifier number, along with a complete background check, fingerprinting, and testing/training per the S.A.F.E. Act.  Requires SAFE Act training of 20 hours annually to maintain MLO registration.  


Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in the Banking/Financial industry
  • One year in a Mortgage environment, MLO mortgage background is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge on types of products offered
  • Must be detail oriented and able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant’s credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions. 


Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg Z, FCRA/FACTA, RESPA, HMDA, Fair Housing Act, Flood Disaster Protection Act and Homeowner’s Protection Act.  Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
