EECU is looking for an Operations Overdraft Specialist with the primary responsibility of administering the courtesy overdraft relationship and risk management related to the Courtesy Overdraft Program.  This position will be eligible for a $500.00 sign on bonus. 

 

The primary role of this position is the administration of the courtesy overdraft program (COP) and the collection of overdraft accounts with negative balances.  In addition, this position ensures the compliance and soundness related to the courtesy overdraft program.  It is responsible for the outbound and inbound calls from members.  Review daily reports and logs within the courtesy overdraft software and take appropriate action by recording the historical data. Perform maintenance on deposit accounts within the core system.  Research and complete assigned tasks and manage daily/weekly/monthly reporting debts recovered. Additional operational responsibilities are assigned within the operations team for continued growth.  Provide excellent customer service while actively engaging members to participate in the courtesy overdraft program. This position is the primary point of contact for the members, and retail employees. 

 

Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training. Work involves personal contact with members and others inside and outside of the organization, regarding all EECU products and services. Communication requires longer and in-depth discussions much of the time.  Ability to project a professional image in training and meetings with members, employees and/or management to discuss program.  

 

Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA/FACTA, and Service Members Civil Relief.  

 

 Candidate for EECU should posses the following knowledge and experience: 

 

  • High School diploma, or equivalent. 2 - 3 years financial experience preferred. College degree preferred.
  • One-year member service/collection experience.  Strong working knowledge of existing Credit Union systems. 
  • Consumer Lending experience is a plus. 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.  Excellent organizational abilities.  
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management across all lines of business.  
  • Proficiency with MS Windows, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations 
  • Ability to project a professional image in meeting with employees and/or members.  
  • Highly detail oriented.  
  • Ability to work with time constraints, deadlines and change of workflow.
