Social and Emotional Learning Coach

Clayton is a before and after school youth enrichment program. We serve over 80 locations in the Fort Worth, Crowley, and Keller IDS. If you love working with children then we have the job for you....We are currently recruiting for a Social and Emotional Learning Coach.

 

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role of the SEL Coach is to assess the implementation of SEL curriculum and the cultural and environmental practices that wrap around the curriculum at each site within their region. The coach will work alongside Program and Site Coordinators to create actionable plans in an effort for them to better facilitate a high level of program quality and SEL programming fidelity.

  • Train, coach and mentor staff in SEL best practices and program quality expectations.
  • Train and prepare training center coordinators and staff to mentor and teach SEL best practices to new staff shadowing at their sites.
  • Ensure leadership staff are trained in and understand program objectives, performance standards and practices.
  • Perform SEL and Clayton Quest site observations.
  • Monitor and evaluate a program’s overall success in implementing Clayton enrichment programming and social and emotional learning components.
  • Evaluate and categorize sites in terms of quality and effectiveness to assist in the creation of actionable plans for program improvement.
  • Identify organizational operational issues and suggest possible improvements.
  • Analyze collected SEL program implementation data to assist management as they determine the improvement goals at each program.
  • Prepare reports on program performance, best practice and social and emotional learning activities.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating feedback meetings to promote ongoing communication.
  • Perform all other job responsibilities as assigned

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to perform all job requirements satisfactorily and meet the Social and Emotional Skills, Education/Experience, Personal Skills/Characteristics, Reasoning Ability, Physical Conditions, Work Environment and Environmental Conditions listed below.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to use technology to collect and report data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office products.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s Degree in child development, education, program management or related field preferred.
  • Experience with program evaluation and data management.
  • Experience with adult learning and training.
  • Knowledge of DFPS and state regulations for childcare operations.
  • Three or more years of experience in child care or related field.
  • Experience supervising, coaching and/or mentoring others.
  • Experience with social and emotional learning, mindfulness and soft skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
