Bilingual Case Manager-Working Family Services

Posted: 04/26/2020

This is the game changer social work role you didn’t think existed. We know ending poverty is possible, so we do things a little differently. We have taken the old understandings of case management and turned them on their heads by creating a case management model focused on proven coaching techniques, wraparound services, and flexible, strategic financial assistance. We aren’t just guessing and hoping our methods work – we are researching them internally to make sure they are tested and sound practices. Then we use our leanings to teach others and advocate for changes on a national scale.

So if you are looking for a typical social work position, working within strict funder-determined methods of practice and using methods that were new and shiny thirty years ago, then this isn’t the job for you. However, if you want to disrupt the patterns of how social services and government entities have approached welfare for decades, if you think your neighbors and community members deserve the dignity to not just survive but to thrive, if you want your work to be the basis that future social work research and legislation is based on, then we’d like for you join us!

What will you be doing?

You will have an opportunity to positively impact our community by working with one of the most dynamic and innovative poverty-eradicating non-profits in the nation!

You will incorporate a narrative approach with the clients you partner with in the development of a strengths-based, holistic plan of action.

You will leverage our community resource experts and our in-house expert coaches to stop at nothing to remove the barriers your clients face.

You will use coaching methods to assist clients in strengthening their own abilities and teaching them new tools as they work hard to reach stability both personally and financially.

You will be paired with one of our other tenacious case workers and together you will provide wrap-around services to the clients you serve.

You will have a low caseload so that you can focus on quality of service and not simply quantity. And by low, we mean lower than industry and national standards.

You will celebrate with your clients. When they reach a beginning milestone, when they develop new skills in their own, and when they tackle obstacles. And you’ll celebrate the loudest on the day they are out of poverty for good.
