Summary | The Clinical Counseling Department serves clients in Tarrant and surrounding counties regardless of their ability to pay. The Director of this program will supervise the clinical counseling department including counseling services and therapists in all locations as well as oversee the parenting advice line. They will also conduct program evaluations and prepare program reports. Approximately 50% of time will be managing the clinical department and the other 50% will be spent providing therapy (approximately 15-20 hours per week). This position includes opportunity to attend evidence-based trainings, participate in local committees/coalitions that align with The Parenting Center mission, and assist in outcome evaluation.
Responsibilities and Duties | • Provide therapy to agency clients and consultation to other agencies. • Motivate and effectively lead staff, associates, and interns • Develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with applicable contracts, grants, standards of practice, and budgets • Represent the agency at community events and meetings.
Requirements | Master’s Degree and LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license. Must be free from licensing complaints and state board reprimands.
Experience | 5 years post graduate degree experience providing therapy to families and children. One year experience supervising others. Must have knowledge of a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive, behavioral, family systems and play therapy. Knowledge of separation, attachment and permanency issues. Knowledge of child development and child abuse prevention strategies. Must have public speaking and group facilitation abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding clients and agency business Must have own reliable transportation, liability insurance, and a valid Texas driver’s license.
Salary/ Compensation Package | $62,000-$67,000. 401k 5% matching. Flex schedule. 10 paid holidays per year with 1 floating holiday. Generous PTO.
