Description

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is currently accepting resumes for Comin Up Site Director. The Comin’ Up Site Director is, under direct supervision of the Senior Director of CU responsible for leadership, participation, case management, program implementation, facility and child safety and administrative compliance.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: competent and credible leader others choose to follow; define vision clearly; coach team to improve performance; implement recruitment plan; accountable for case management process and outcomes; coordinate and supervise of wrap around social services. Responsible for coordinating program vision; and completion of grant and contract requirements. Services are provided on site during program hours. May be required to provide support services virtually. May be required to assist with community outreach. There is potential for exposure to germs and illnesses. Employees are to follow all safety procedures and protocols.

 

Work sites are located in low income areas, challenging neighborhoods, and growth neighborhoods. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and at times moderate or very loud. Position requires working with large groups of youth that are gang members, affiliated with a gang, and at risk for joining gang. Position also requires overseeing work locations as well as supervises multiple employees.

 

The Comin’ Up Gang Intervention Program serves at-risk and gang-involved youth between the ages of 13-24 years in Fort Worth communities. The goal of the Comin’ Up Gang Intervention Program is to positively impact the lives of at risk and gang involved youth by providing needs-based services and activities to reduce the level of gang violence in the City of Fort Worth.

 

Requirements

Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college, social service major preferred
  • Experience with management and fiscal responsibility
  • Minimum two year social service experience

 

Qualifications include

  • Ability to work regular program hours which includes day, evening and night hours with periodic weekends. Required night hours are 7:00pm – 11:00pm Monday - Friday
  • Ability to attract, train and retain qualified personnel
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to persuade, influence, and motivate others into action
  • Demonstrated success managing relationships with varied community stakeholders.
  • Effective time management, organizational and planning skills;
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution strategies and methodology
  • Experience in successfully meeting government funded contracts with deliverables for performance
  • Knowledge of problems and barriers at-risk youth face
  • Must be a team player, willing to collaborate and make team decisions
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
  • Position requires driving personal vehicle and company vehicle. Candidates must have reliable transportation, liability insurance, satisfactory driving record and a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under the company insurance the requirement is for employee to be a minimum of age 21

 

 

Salary & Benefits

Starting Pay: $52,800 (exempt full time)
