The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County (BGCGTC) has served our communities’ youth since 1926.
The Club has evolved from its origin as a premier youth development organization into a community based
organization aimed at improving the health, well-being, and livelihood for those in the community. As the
oldest and largest Boys & Girls Club in the state, BGCGTC is regarded as one of the highest performing Clubs
every year nationally, serving over 31,000 youth. The Club’s mission is to enable all young people, especially
those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. 
About the role:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is looking for 25 Fall College interns to serve as Youth
Development Specialists in branches located in Arlington and Fort Worth, as well as our new mobile unit.
During this specially designed Fall semester internship, you will help lead our youth in a variety of activities
including learning through play, education, health and fitness, social and emotional wellness, activities specific
for teens, and so much more. Safety is of the utmost importance so you will learn how to ensure a safe
environment for youth of all ages.
Our program has been created to merge the best of non-profit world and leverage BGCGTC’s Corporate
Partners-- global companies such as Deloitte and Fidelity, inc.
In partnership with our Partners, we will enhance on-the-job learning with access to:

? Guest Mentors …executive leaders based here in the Greater Dallas-Ft. Worth area
? Leadership Development Seminars
? Social Events with your intern cohort
? Networking Sessions with local leaders
? 1:1 mentorship

Minimum Qualifications
? High school diploma or equivalent
? Current enrollment in an accredited 2- or 4-year college program
? Depending on position – zero to 1 year of experience working with youth (examples: camp
counselor, babysitting, teaching assistant, etc)

? Hours: must be available between the hours of 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm Monday – Friday.
? Locations: Candidates must be able to work at all locations at any time. Work sites are in low-income
areas, challenging neighborhoods, and growth neighborhoods. Locations
? Position requires working with small to large groups of youth. Noise level of the environment is usually
loud and at times moderate or very loud.
? Must be able to pass all required background screens and drug screens at any time
? Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County will only employ those who are legally authorized to
work in the United States.
? Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
? Some positions do not require driving a company and/or personal vehicle and some positions do require
driving a company and/or personal vehicle
o Some positions require driving company vehicle. For these positions candidates must have
satisfactory driving record and a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant
to carrying out duties and to be covered under the company insurance the requirement is for
employee to be a minimum of age 21.

? Some positions require driving a personal vehicle. For these positions candidate must have a satisfactory
driving record, reliable transportation, valid auto insurance and a valid drivers license for operation of a
motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties.
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $14.00 per hour
