Food Program Administrator

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is seeking a Food Program Administrator. You will be part of our organization’s vision for the future in this new, one-of-a-kind position.  Food insecurity continues to be a prevailing and urgent issue faced both pre- and post-pandemic in the communities we serve. In order to ensure that each of our Club members learns and thrives, we must ensure that every Club member eats; regular access to healthy and nutritious food options is the foundation that ensures that all of our Club members reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. 


The Food Program Administrator is responsible for leadership, grant administration, quality improvement and standards, program outcomes and administrative compliance.  Duties include but not limited to: competent and credible leader others choose to follow, coach team to improve performance, complete all administrative documentation internally and for funder, act as grant liaison, design and implement training for employees to ensure successfully grant requirements, responsible for quality improvement and meeting quality standards, responsible for compliance with funder and regulatory agencies, assist with grant proposals and developing outcome measurements, and administrative compliance. 


Work sites are located in low income areas, challenging neighborhoods, and growth neighborhoods. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud and at times loud. Work sites are located in low income areas, challenging neighborhoods, and growth neighborhoods. 


The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County (BGCGTC) has served our communities’ youth since 1926. The Club has evolved from its origin as a premier youth development organization into a community based organization aimed at improving the health, well-being, and livelihood for those in the community. As the oldest and largest Boys & Girls Club in the state, BGCGTC is regarded as one of the highest performing Clubs every year nationally, serving over 31,000 youth. The Club’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. 


Education and Work Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or minimum 2 years related experience 

· Experience with grant management and fiscal responsibility

· Experience with at risk youth and/or at risk populations preferred


Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

· Ability to work regular branch and program hours

· Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends

· Ability to attract, train and retain qualified personnel

· Ability to mentor and coach personnel to success

· Ability to plan, lead and shape change and growth at the branch level resulting in tangible progress towards goals

· Ability to identify, create and offer ongoing support to employees through training, encouragement, and reinforcement in order to breed success and support a positive growth culture

· Excellent time management skills

· Effective organizational skills

· Effective leadership skills

· Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification

· Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time

· Must have satisfactory driving record, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties.
