BASIC FUNCTION:
The Development Director – Investor Relations will oversee and strategize for the day-to-day operational management of all activities and functions for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s Investor Relations.  Create annual Development and Investor Relations strategies.  This includes process of onboarding, delivering all benefits and connecting Fortify Investors.  Responsible for meeting all sponsorship and development goals.  Excellent customer service and a passion to create a positive energy and excitement for Chamber Investors, staff and volunteers.  
 
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:

Development

  • Create and execute strategies to achieve all development and sponsorship goals
  • Create with marketing additional sponsor opportunities
  • Prepare and collect all sponsorship invoices
  • Assure all sponsor benefits are being delivered
  • Attend Chamber Events

 

Investors

  • Create and execute strategies to retain Investors
  • Assure that all investor benefits are being delivered
  • Identify opportunities to involve investors
  • Work with Finance on billing and collections of past due Fortify invoices
 

New Investors and Fundraising Campaigns

  • Incorporate all graphic standards from the marketing department into sales and other materials
  • Work with President and Consultants on fundraising campaigns
  • Onboarding of all new investors
  • Assure all new investors are properly set up in the database
 
 KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
  • 8+ years of experience in Development
  • Four-year college degree
  • Assured public presence and comfort level with Board of Directors, C-Level executives, high-level community leaders, elected officials, outside stakeholders and volunteers
  • Ability to communicate the case for support in lay terms to trustees and other stakeholders
  • Must have database experience and excellent organizational, communication and computer skills - Chambermaster experience is a plus
  • Requires excellent listening and interpersonal skills
 
 
DECISION-MAKING AND ACTION TAKING:
Position requires anticipating future needs of investors.  Ability to make customer service decisions that are consistent with our vision, mission and goals.  Often deals with complex, ambiguous circumstances or projects.  Often placed in situations that require an immediate and accurate response.
 
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Moderate noise level
  • Some lifting of boxes of up to 25 pounds
  • Long periods of sitting
  • Early morning meetings and evening functions
