Westwood Contractors, Inc. has enhanced its team with the addition of Jessica Elliott as Human Resources (HR) Generalist. Mrs. Elliott will be working directly with Robert Benda, Chief Executive Officer, to manage in-house personnel activities including recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits administration, performance coaching, and compensation management. In addition, she will collaborate with the firm’s HR consultant Mark Mitford, Managing Director at HR Catalyst, and his team. Together they will advance the ongoing development of HR policies and processes to ensure alignment with Westwood’s commitment to provide a stable, safe, and desirable working environment with fulfilling career opportunities for its team. This work is an essential part of the firm’s commitment to maintain a thriving, success-focused vision of its “One Westwood” corporate culture.
Mrs. Elliott has substantial experience in the field having served as a civilian Human Resource Specialist for the Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field Force Support Squadron in Florida. Most recently, she served as the civilian Human Resources Director for the U.S. Navy’s Department of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation at Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth. She has a degree in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona Global Campus, and is currently pursuing her SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) certification. Mrs. Elliott’s demonstrated skills in performance management, recruiting, and compensation and benefits administration will be of great value to Westwood’s continued growth.
