Greg has led Jetta\, now a company of more than 240 employees\, since its inception in 1991.\nAfter graduating from Texas A & M University in 1982 with a B.S. degree in petroleum engineering\, Greg worked for Hunt Energy Corporation and then Cawley Gillespie & Associates\, eventually becoming partner. He worked in areas of reservoir engineering\, reservoir management and economic analysis. In 2013\, Greg was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Graduates for the Petroleum Engineering department at Texas A&M University.\n\nGreg is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas. He also serves as a board member of several organizations including the Texas A&M University Petroleum Engineering Industry Board\, TCU Energy Institute\, Longhorn Council   Boy Scouts of America Foundation and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. Greg was the 2010 -2012 president of the Longhorn Council\, Boy Scouts of America and is the past president and a current member of the Petroleum Club of Fort Worth. He is also a member of the Dallas Petroleum Club and several professional organizations including the Society of Petroleum Engineers\, the Texas Oil & Gas Association and the Fort Worth Wildcatters. Additionally\, he is involved in other community and philanthropic efforts through the Gregory A. and Laura E. Bird Foundation.
