DESCRIPTION:Over 3\,000 people watched the August Area Council Online Office Hours session titled "Personal Experiences of Race in Society and the Workplace." We received many requests for continued conversations\, including conversations around what companies and individuals can do.\n\n  \n\nIn this month's one-hour discussion (it may be a little longer)\, business and community leaders will share examples of how to advance racial equity in the workplace.\n\n \n\nOffice Hours was developed as a monthly program to be hosted by the Area Councils Boards around a topic that is both timely and especially relevant to companies in specific Area Councils.\n\n\n\nMeet the panel\n\n \n\nGyna Bivens with North Texas Leaders and Executives Advocating Diversity (LEAD)\, a consortium of major employers in North Texas whose chief executive officers seek to increase diversity in their managerial ranks.\n\n \n\nDion Harrison\, Chief Diversity Officer at Elevate\n\n \n\nCorina Schwintz\, WhitneySmith. Corina has been instrumental in developing the company's new anti-racism and D&I program\n\n \n\nIvy Awino\, Sr. Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility + External Affairs for the Dallas Mavericks\; she also spearheads the Mavs Take Action! initiative\n\n\n\nMike Coffey will facilitate this discussion.
