DESCRIPTION:PRESENTED BY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis session is hosted by the West Area Board and will provide knowledge and awareness on the diverse experiences within the LGBTQ+ community. We will give an overview of terminology\, identities\, historical and current issues. The hope is to create an open environment to ask questions that people may have struggled to ask before.\n\n\n\nSpeakers:\n\nShannon Scoggins\, Ph.D.\, a clinical psychologist for the VA Fort Worth Outpatient Clinic\, where she serves as the primary point of contact for transgender Veterans seeking gender-affirming care and also conducts training on this topic for fellow staff. She also serves on the Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity Committee and facilitates LGBTQ+ Clinical Consultation for the entire North Texas VA Health Care System. Other areas of specialty include providing evidence-based therapies for PTSD\, insomnia\, panic attacks\, and anxiety disorders.\n\n\n\nJohn Ruda\, Managing Director\, Strategic Planning & Analytics\, Charles Schwab/TD Ameritrade. D help develops Institutional's long-term strategies and timely business insights in partnership with our fellow leaders\, in turn supporting years of double-digit business growth & industry-leading net promoter scores within the RIA & Advisor Services segment of the wealth management industry. \n\n\n\nModerator:\nDion Harrison\, Chief Diversity Officer & Sr. Director Product\, Elevate.
