Fisseler succeeds former city manager Charles Boswell\, who retired at the end of January after celebrating 30 years of being employed by the City.  Fisseler was selected from a final list of four candidates considered for the Fort Worth leadership position.  Assistant city manager since 2004\, Fisseler has previously been responsible for economic and community development.  An employee of the City since 1990\, Fisseler began his career in Fort Worth as a water production superintendent and was later named director of the water department in 1999.  The father of two adult children\, Fisseler holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University.
