DESCRIPTION:At this year's State of Education luncheon\, we will hear not only from FWISD Interim Superintendent Dr. Patricia Linares\, but also from several students in some of 64 programs of choice offered throughout the district\, including world language programs. Students from the Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences\, Young Men's Leadership academy\, Young Women's Leadership Academy and culinary arts programs will briefly show us how and why the FWISD is undergoing a remarkable redesign of secondary curriculum in order to help our future workers be successful.\n\n \n\nDr. Linares will share details about the status of the superintendent search (a national search)\, the latest ISD test scores and state ratings\, and the status of the capital improvement program begun after last year's bond election. Student musicians from the B Sharp strings program and the Northside Mariachi band will entertain prior to the luncheon.
