DESCRIPTION:Just a few spots left!  \n\n\n\nOur "Table of 10" Mentoring events offer Vision FW members an opportunity to meet and enjoy a meal with Fort Worth's top leaders and business professionals.\n\n\n\nThese events are specifically for members of Vision FW (the Chamber's Young Professional Group).  If you are not a member\, you can join here.\n\n\n\nThis event will give you exclusive time and access to people whose time is at a premium\, in a setting that promotes open conversation.  Come ready with questions and excited to learn from Fort Worth's best social and community leadership. \n\n\n\nFebruary's Mentor: Dr. Anthony Edwards\, Senior Vice President\, Talent Development\, Attraction and Retention\n\n\n\nBio: Dr. Anthony Edwards joined the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce May 2018 as the Senior Vice President of Talent Development\, Retention and Attraction\, one of the four pillars of the Chamber's new strategic plan\, Fortify.\n\n\n\nDr. Edwards most recently served as Assistant Professor and Director of the Tarleton State University Global Campus\, overseeing academic advising\, recruiting\, and marketing of online programs for six years.\n\n\n\n"Anthony has broad experience in areas of education and workforce development\," said Brandom Gengelbach\, executive vice president of Economic Development for the Chamber. "The education and workforce landscape is very complex and Tony is the ideal person to map services offerings in this segment and identify overlaps and gaps within the local system."\n\n\n\nDr. Edwards spent five years as a science teacher in Fort Worth ISD\, Granbury ISD\, and Huckabay ISD.  He also completed an administrative internship at Scott & White Memorial Hospital\, Clinic\, and Health Plan (now Baylor Scott & White). Dr. Edwards earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University\, a Master of Health Administration from the Texas A&M Health Science Center\, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Tarleton State University.\n\n\n\n"I became interested in the position after reading Fortify\, the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce Strategic Plan\," said Edwards. "I am eager to collaborate with local businesses and school districts\, Workforce Solutions of Tarrant County\, Tarrant County College\, local universities\, local governments\, Visit Fort Worth\, and nonprofits to develop\, attract\, and retain talent in Fort Worth."\n\n\n\nRead more about the Fort Worth Chamber's goals for Talent here. \n\n\n\nThis exclusive setting is limited to only 10 attendees and registration is required to attend (cost covers the cost of the meal).
