"We are pleased have the new da Vinci Xi  Surgical System at Plaza\, which allows surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgery through an incision roughly the size of a dime."\n\n \n\nThe robotic surgical system seamlessly translates the surgeon's hand\, wrist and finger movements into precise\, real-time movements of surgical instruments inside a patient. The robot offers patients less risk of infection\, shorter hospital stays\, faster recovery and less scarring than traditional surgery.\n\n \n\nThe public is also invited to help name the new robot. Name suggestions can be posted as comments on Plaza's Facebook page\, facebook.com/PlazaMedical/\, or dropped in the name box at the robot open house at the hospital on April 1.
