DESCRIPTION:Lights\, Camera\, Action!\n\n\n\nJoin Vision FW for lunch with Alec Jhangiani\, Director of the Lone Star Film Festival!\n\n\n\nAlec will be joining us for lunch at UNT Health Science Center and will be sharing about his rise to become the Director of the film society.  He will be showing clips about recent film projects and sharing about how he made his way to the top as a young professional in the film industry.\n\n\n\nYou don't want to miss out on this informative and fun lunch - won't you join us?  Lunch will be catered by Z's Cafe.\n\n\n\nLone Star Film Festival\n\n\n\nBiography:\n\n\n\nAlec Jhangiani joined the Lone Star Film Society in 2007 as Director of Programming and is a founding staff member of the Lone Star Film Festival (LSFF) in Sundance Square. He was appointed Director of the film society in 2011. Since 2006 he has worked in various roles on a number of film productions including Terrence Malick's Academy Award nominated film THE TREE OF LIFE and Malick's follow up feature TO THE WONDER starring Ben Affleck\, Rachel McAdams and Javier Bardem. He produced James Johnston's short film KNIFE\, which was featured on VICE.com and was an official selection of the SXSW and Hamptons film festivals among others. He also produced Daniel Tarr's short film SHERMAN AND PACIFICO featuring Javier Bardem as the voice of Pacifico. He is currently an Associate Producer for Jesus Beltran's debut feature AMERICANO\, developed in part by the Sundance Institute Creative Producing initiative\, and an Executive Producer on Anna Axster's debut feature A COUNTRY CALLED HOME starring Imogen Poots with music by Academy Award and Grammy winning singer/songwriter Ryan Bingham.\n\n\n\nReservation Policy\n\nAll reservations must be accompanied by full payment.
