SUMMARY:Women Influencing Business Luncheon with Sharen Wilson\, 11/5/14
DESCRIPTION:This judge doesn't drive a dilapidated van or have a daytime TV show\, and she's not related to movie star Owen Wilson or comedian Flip Wilson.\n\n \n\nBut as a prosecutor and then as Tarrant County's criminal court judge\, she has spent her life putting criminals in jail. We're talking about former District Judge Sharen Wilson\, who sailed to victory in March's GOP primary and is running unopposed on the Nov. 4 ballot for District Attorney.\n\n \n\nJudge Sharen Wilson has served on the bench of Criminal District Court Number One since 1990. Previously\, she was an assistant district attorney for the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office and a criminal defense attorney. Judge Wilson received her bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Texas Tech University School of Law. She teaches on the subjects of capital murder\, search and seizure\, and docket management for several institutions including the National Judicial College and the National Center for State Courts\; she is an adjunct professor at Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.\n\n \n\nIn the wake of a publicized harassment lawsuit involving the former D.A.\, Wilson promises to run the office more like a law firm and be more responsive to the public and to victims. So look out\, everybody\, because Here Comes the Judge!\n\n \n\nThis luncheon is open to all members and hosted by the Chamber's Women Influencing Business group.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReservation Policy\n\nAll reservations must be accompanied by full payment. If no payment is received\, it will not be considered a reservation. Due to catering guarantees payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another event.\n\nReservations can be made:\n\n - On-line by credit card\n\n - Returning email invitation with check to: Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce\, 777 Taylor St.\, Suite 900\, Fort Worth\, TX 76102.
