Mattie will share her journey with us and talk about Public Advocacy in Fort Worth.  \n\n\n\nMattie J. Parker currently serves as the chief of staff for the mayor and Fort Worth City Council.  Parker\, 33\, oversees all policy and communications on behalf of Mayor Betsy Price.  Mayor Price is currently serving her fourth term as Mayor of Fort Worth\, the 16th largest city in the US and one of the fastest growing cities in the country.  \n\n\n\nPrior to joining the Mayor and council's staff\, Parker served for over a decade in national and state public affairs.  She served as the district director and campaign manager for U.S. Rep. Kay Granger in Fort Worth. In addition\, she was chief of staff to State Rep. Phil King and executive assistant to former Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick in Austin.
