Dr. Lindsey will provide tips and tactics as she engages in a conversation about developing a personal brand on social media that enhances your leadership identity\, reputation and image. \n\n\n\nJoin other professional women around the table for this unique discussion. Register soon as tickets sell fast!\n\n \n\n\n\nDr. Karen Lindsey is a professor\, career coach\, and keynote speaker. Dr. Lindsey has 25 years of corporate communication\, higher education\, media relations\, and marketing experience.\n\n \n\nThe Wisconsin native moved to Texas four years ago to become Vice President at Edelman public relations in Dallas where she oversaw their higher education practice. She is currently a faculty member at Texas Christian University who teaches public relations and other courses in the Bob Schieffer College of Communication.\n\n \n\nDuring her career\, Dr. Lindsey navigated the business and media world in corporate communication leadership positions with the Chicago Tribune\, U.S. Bank\, Wisconsin Gas\, and Northwestern Mutual. She co-hosted a talk-radio morning show and has written numerous articles for blogs\, business journals\, and fitness publications. She has served as an on-air spokesperson and is a frequent podcast guest\, workshop facilitator\, personal brand coach\, and consultant to C-suite business executives and professional organizations on the topics of Authentic Leadership\, Brand and Reputation Management\, and Integrated Communication Planning. She continues to maintain consulting clients including university presidents and business executives where she advises them in the areas of organizational restructuring\, crisis communication\, and brand positioning.\n\n \n\nShe holds a Bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin\, a Master's degree from Mississippi College\, and a PhD from Azusa Pacific University. Her research focuses on women in leadership and factors that influence the formation of leadership identity in male-normed environments.\n\n \n\nDr. Lindsey believes in the importance of having a fit\, mind\, body\, career\, and spirit. She encourages women to practice radical self-care no matter how busy they are. Karen is a nationally certified fitness instructor and teaches group fitness classes at LA fitness on West 7th. She enjoys running and has run the Chicago Marathon twice and completed 14 half marathons in various states.\n\n \n\nShe lives out her own personal brand on Instagram and Twitter as @drklinzy!
