Fraud Prevention Specialist - Fort Worth

EECU has an exciting opportunity to join our Fraud - Legal team. 

 

We are looking for the right candidate with financial industry knowledge and skilled fraud experience to become our next Fraud Prevention Specialist located in Downtown Fort Worth TX. This position is eligible for a $500 sign on bonus. 

 

The Fraud Prevention Specialist will monitor various fraud systems for the detection and prevention of various types of fraud through internal and external systems.

 

Communicates with employees and members to provide the appropriate information and ensure all fraud occurrences are handled consistently. Directly communicates with members to provide regarding their rights as a fraud victim and their options for coordinating with law enforcement to protect their personal information.

  

Investigates, monitors, reviews, and documents fraud pertaining to member accounts. Interrogates possible fraudsters and asks the necessary investigative questions to determine whether true fraud is occurring. Will provide assistance and support for other Team Members for all facets of investigations for areas such as ID Theft, Card Cracking, Mobile Deposit, Debit and Credit Card Fraud, A2A, P2P, and Account Takeover Fraud. 

 

Actively participate in the development of the fraud position and works to provide feedback and suggestions regarding initiatives, solutions, or programs that could aid EECU in fighting fraud.  

 

Candidates should possess the following knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience in Electronic Payment Fraud and / or Risk Operations preferred.  
  • Minimum of two (2 years) years’ experience in a financial institution or work related experience in Fraud prevention.  
  • Knowledge of consumer regulations and operations is a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  
    • Requires strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and interpret card processing rules, government regulations and legal documents, and attention to detail. 
    • Must be well organized and possesses the knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently. 
    • Experience working with Symitar, ARCU, Fraud Dispute Transaction tool and Springboard a plus.
    • Knowledge of these prevention systems are a plus: Payrailz Ontrac and Fraud Monitor, Digital Insight, Pulse-Debit Protect, Compass, and Guardian Officer.  
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties and responsibilities, perform thorough research, adapt to changing priorities, organize multiple tasks, and resolve questions/problems in a timely manner.     
  • Must possess excellent time management skills. Ability to work well under pressure of time constraints and deadlines.
    • EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant’s credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions.

 

Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg E and Reg CC. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
