Bike to Work Day
Ready to ditch the drive for a day? Friday, May 20, 2016 is National Bike to Work Day. Fort Worth will observe the day with a ride led by Mayor Betsy Price at 7:45 a.m. leaving from the intersection of Magnolia and Lipscomb and ending at Intermodal Transportation Center.
Fort Worth Bike Sharing will offer half-off 24-hr memberships for those who don’t have a bike of their own. Just use the promo code 052016 to redeem the discount. Remember to dock the bike every 30 minutes or usage fees will apply.
Employers are encouraged to create routes for their employees and have a ride leader. If you are interested in starting a ride for your company, contact Bike Friendly Fort Worth for help choosing the best route. For suggested routes and more information, visit fortworthtexas.gov/biketowork.
