The cancellation of blood drives during the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound and sudden impact on the local blood supply. Our community’s blood supply continues to be critically low, and all blood donors are needed now.
Moncrief Cancer Institute has teamed up with Carter BloodCare to help build back our local blood supply. Blood is needed for cancer patients, transplant recipients, heart surgery, and trauma, and thousands of donors are needed to serve these patients and keep our blood supply ready.
Giving blood is safe, and Carter BloodCare takes all precautions to ensure the safety of the donors. The team wears personal protective equipment throughout the entire blood drive, uses hospital-grade sanitizers, and exceeds all FDA guidelines.
Please make an appointment anytime this month, Monday through Saturday, at any donor center that is convenient for you. Bring promo code SPON106182 to your scheduled time, and show it to a Carter BloodCare team member.
