"Commitment to Graduating Our Students College and Career-Ready” is the focus of Dr. Scribner’s State of Education address, Friday, October 13 at Cendera Center. Dr. Scribner will inform the community about the upcoming tax ratification and Bond Election on November 7.
He will also talk about the District’s narrowed focus on three objectives: elementary (early) literacy, middle years’ math, and college-and-career ready graduates.
This encompasses the District’s 100X25FWTX initiative and its collaboration with the Fort Worth Literacy Partnership.
Superintendent Kent P. Scribner wants 100 percent of third-graders reading at grade level by 2025. The school district rolled out the 100x25 FWTX initiative to do just that, and STAAR test scores are improving.
Fort Worth has an uptick in scores in many areas between grades three and eight. But even more phenomenal is the rise in the third-grade reading and math scores.
