The Chamber is kicking off the fall event season Sept. 4 with our annual State of the County luncheon, where Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley will inform us about transportation projects, new building construction throughout the County, public health initiatives and higher education, among other county priorities.
We will also honor Hillwood, a Perot Company with the Vandergriff Award, presented annually to a legacy individual or organization whose contributions have positively impacted Tarrant County on an international scale. This year marks the 25th anniversary of AllianceTexas, the 17,000-acre master planned development providing more than 30,000 jobs and $50 billion in economic impact.
Prior to the State of the County, the 2014 Greater Tarrant Business Ethics Awards, presented by BB&T Bank, will be announced. The Ethics awards honor companies that practice ethical business operations, management philosophies and response to challenges.
