There will be plenty of paranormal activity at the second annual Fort Worth Library Author Series, beginning in September. The library welcomes four popular authors who will walk us down the path they take when writing their fictional favorites. You are sure to leave with some memorable tales.
Nigerian American writer and professor Nnedi Okorafor has incorporated Nigerian cosmology, creatures her mother told her about, and stories she overheard the elders tell in Nigeria into her books and short stories. Despite the fact that her work is classified as speculative, it’s actually not so easy to tell what’s fact and what is fiction in her work. Nnedi Okorafor will discuss the inspirations behind her highly imaginative works of science fiction and fantasy and prove to you that “realistic” fiction has many faces.
So make a point to join us for any and all of the above Wordslingers visits. You’ll get to meet face-to-face with some of your favorite writers, hear about their amazing life experiences, and get valuable advice on penning a book of your own.
We would like to thank the The Friends of the Fort Worth Public Library, Inc for its generous support of this series.
