November 11, 2018, is the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the war we know as World War I. From November to February, visit the library to see how the war had a lasting impact on the citizens and culture of North Texas. The exhibit will present personal stories of the experiences of veterans and civilians and their experiences in war and contributions at home. There were many casualties and devastating physical and psychological injuries.
On display in the Gallery, West Wing, and Glass Display Case from Nov. 10, 2018 - Feb. 23, 2019.
There will be an opening reception on Sat., Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. In conjunction with the exhibit, there will also be a series of programs, lectures and movies at the library. Please visit http://bit.ly/2EJPbQ9 for more information.
