Daniil Trifonov’s ascent to classical music stardom is something to behold. In the years since he won First Prize and Grand Prix at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition, he has accrued more accolades than any other pianist of his generation, from a GRAMMY® win to countless “artist of the year” designations and being made a “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” by the French government. As The Times of London notes, he is “without question the most astounding pianist of our age.”
As Daniil makes his way from Carnegie Hall in New York to Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, he stops in Fort Worth for this one-night special engagement. He’ll perform Handel’s spirited dance Suite No. 5 followed by a love letter to Latin America (inspired by his Dominican wife) with pieces by Villa-Lobos, Landestoy, Ginastera, and a Tango of his own composition. Don’t miss your chance to see this superstar in the intimate setting of the Kimbell Art Museum and Renzo Piano’s beautiful auditorium.
