Two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning American mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges graces the world’s leading operatic and concert stages “with a voice both voluptuous and statuesque” (The New York Times). Recent highlights include her role debut as Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto and performing the role of Mary in a new production of John Adams’ El Niño both at The Metropolitan Opera, a return to the Seattle Opera in her role debut as Didon in Les Troyens, and the title role in Carmen in her debut at the Wiener Staatsoper and the Teatro Real in Madrid.
This season at Cliburn Concerts she transports audiences to turn-of-the-century Paris in an evening celebrating La Belle Époque, a golden age of innovation and art that brought us Impressionist painting, poetry by Verlaine and Rimbaud, the Paris Metro, and many enchanting songs. Don’t miss this night of joie de vivre as this luminary of the opera stage performs the works of Berlioz, Debussy, Satie, and Ravel.
