Faces of the Y: YMCA 136th Annual Community Luncheon Presented by Oncor

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth will host its 136th Annual Community Celebration Luncheon, bringing together business leaders, community partners and volunteers to recognize service, celebrate impact and support the YMCA’s mission across North Texas.

This year’s theme, “Faces of the Y,” highlights the people at the heart of the YMCA’s work. Each year, the YMCA serves more than 220,000 individuals through programs focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Nearly 30 percent of those served participate through scholarships made possible by donor and sponsor support.

The luncheon program includes presentation of the YMCA’s highest honors, including Volunteer of the Year awards, the Chi Rho Award, the Community Champion Award and the Community Partner Award, recognizing individuals and organizations whose leadership and commitment strengthen local communities.

The event will also spotlight the YMCA’s role as a community safety net, providing affordable child care, afterschool and summer programs, water safety education, workforce development, food access initiatives and programs that foster connection for seniors, teens and families. Guest speakers from the Dallas Mavericks will join the program, along with highlights of innovative partnerships expanding career and workforce opportunities in the region.
