Online Office Hours: LGBTQ+ In The Workplace

This session is hosted by the West Area Board and will provide knowledge and awareness on the diverse experiences within the LGBTQ+ community. We will give an overview of terminology, identities, historical and current issues. The hope is to create an open environment to ask questions that people may have struggled to ask before.

Speakers:
Shannon Scoggins, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist for the VA Fort Worth Outpatient Clinic, where she serves as the primary point of contact for transgender Veterans seeking gender-affirming care and also conducts training on this topic for fellow staff. She also serves on the Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity Committee and facilitates LGBTQ+ Clinical Consultation for the entire North Texas VA Health Care System. Other areas of specialty include providing evidence-based therapies for PTSD, insomnia, panic attacks, and anxiety disorders.
