2005 Mayor's Global Business Awards

The Mayor’s Global Business Awards is a competition recognizing excellence in importing and exporting, and honoring exemplary international service providers. 

Join us at the Mayor’s Global Business Awards Luncheon, the premiere international business event in Tarrant County. 

This year, keynote speaker Alann Sampson of the Van Cliburn Foundation will join Mayor Mike Moncrief in presenting the awards on June 29, 2005 at an awards luncheon that will feature a finalist from the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition showcasing his/her talents.

Mayor Moncrief will honor companies whose drive and entrepreneurial talents have enabled them to compete successfully in the global marketplace, presenting awards in excellence in exporting, importing and international service. 

Furthermore, former Fort Worth Mayor Kenneth Barr will present the Kenneth Barr International Flagship Award in recognition of outstanding success and proven dedication to international business development in Tarrant County. 

Last year more than 400 businessmen and women turned out to celebrate international business in Tarrant County as Alcon Laboratories and Pier 1 Imports were recognized for excellence in exporting and importing, respectively.
