Family Summer Day at the National Medal of Honor Museum

Join the National Medal of Honor Museum for Family Summer Day on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free event offers a fun way for families to beat the heat with hands-on activities, games, a Museum-wide scavenger hunt, and special screenings of Grandpa and Shorty in the Neel Kearby Theater. The film tells the story of a battle-tested Army veteran who spends the day caring for his seven-year-old granddaughter, opening the door to healing, understanding, and rediscovering the importance of family. Members of the production team will also be at the Museum for meet-and-greets before and after each screening. Guests can cool off with Blue Bell’s Lone Star Scoop Tour from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring ice cream treats and giveaway goodies while supplies last. Family Summer Day is free to enjoy on the Museum’s first floor, with Museum admission available for those who want to explore the exhibit deck.
