Topic: PM Profession: Where we are and where we’re going?
Even after decades of project management being defined and implemented in every industry some organizations still speculate the importance project management as a profession. This presentation will cover whether or not project management is a profession, the current state of project management and the challenges the career of project, program, and portfolio management faces today. Then we’ll wrap up with a look at the potential path ahead for the growth of project management within the organizations where we work.
Presenter: Larry Johnson is the current President of the PMI Dallas Chapter, which serves over 4000 members. He has over eight years as a project manager with experience in consumer products, financial services and logistics industries managing database and application conversions, web based software development, call center management software.
