England was 72^nd Secretary of the Navy from 2001-2003, then became the first Deputy Secretary for Homeland Security for nine months before returning to the role of Secretary of the Navy. He was appointed to Deputy Secretary of Defense by President Bush in 2006 and has recently returned home to Fort Worth with the change in presidential administrations.
