You’re invited to our next Leaders in Government luncheon with Congressman Marc Veasey, elected in November to represent the new District 33, which was created as a result of the 2010 Census and stretches across the DFW Metroplex to include parts of both Dallas and Tarrant Counties. Mr. Veasey was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in November 2004 representing District 95. As a Member of the State House, he was recognized as one of the young rising stars among Texas Democrats and other State leaders. Veasey earned a degree from Texas Wesleyan University, where he studied Mass Communication. Be one of the first to hear about Congressman Veasey’s first days on The Hill, in which he has faced a contentious fight over sequestration, and earlier this week delivered remarks at a rally in support of the Voting Rights Act, Section 5.
