The business world is navigating new terrain and exploring different ways of moving business forward. The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing resources during this time of social distancing and we will be launching our virtual programming starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18. This series, Leaders Online, will consist of discussions designed to provide your business with timely resources during a challenging time.
Our first Leaders Online will focus on workforce solutions and emergency funding for small businesses. Our speakers are: Herbert Austin, District Director of SBA’s Dallas/Fort Worth Office and Steven Gonzalez, Business Services Director for Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County.
Herb will discuss how the SBA is providing emergency financial assistance to small businesses that have been negatively affected by the Coronavirus and the process for obtaining these funds.
Steven will discuss Workforce Solutions Rapid Response – a “team response” to business layoffs, downsizing, closures, or restructuring and ways to help “soften the blow” and provide a better understanding of associated layoff and unemployment activities. He will also discuss Devastation Unemployment Assistance for job seekers and options for improving skills during downtime/online learning opportunities.
We welcome you to submit your questions for tomorrow's session by emailing Chris Strayer and we will be accepting questions in real-time. We will get to as many questions as time allows. This session is open to everyone – please share with your team or contacts who would benefit from this information.
