If you live, work or play on Fort Worth’s southside, you’ll want to join us Aug.16 for the Chamber’s South Area Council membership luncheon. Fort Worth City Councilman Jungus Jordan will talk about the progress of the Chisholm Trail Parkway as well as the hotly debated transit station for commuter rail in the Mistletoe Heights neighborhood. Councilman Jordan has served District 6 since 2005 and is the secretary/treasurer of the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition, and is a former chair of the North Central Texas Regional Transportation Council. Rob Harmon, CFO of The T, will also briefly speak and answer questions about The T’s bus and planned rail service in the area. Attendees will also be entered in a drawing for tickets to the new Dead Sea Scrolls & the Bible exhibition at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary!
