Across the country, Memorial Day is a time to pause and remember. At the National Medal of Honor Museum, those memories live on through immersive storytelling, reflection, and shared acts of remembrance.
During Memorial Day Weekend 2026, visitors are invited to spend time exploring the Museum’s galleries and participating in special experiences designed for families, Veterans, and the broader community. The Museum will be open Friday through Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Throughout the weekend, guests can experience the Museum’s immersive exhibit deck, where Medal of Honor Recipient stories are brought to life through artifacts, interactive displays, and firsthand reflections from Recipients themselves. Visitors encounter the people behind the Medal—students, neighbors, parents, and friends who took extraordinary action in service to others.
Outside on the Museum grounds, visitors can participate in the Field of Flags memorial installation. Hundreds of flags stand in formation, each representing a life given in service. Guests are invited to add a name in memory of someone they wish to honor, creating a shared and deeply personal space of remembrance.
Some Memorial Day Weekend activities are free to the public. Museum admission tickets are recommended in advance to reserve preferred entry times. Veterans receive discounted admission, and active-duty military receive free admission.
The National Medal of Honor Museum is located in Arlington’s Entertainment District, steps from AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field.
