Active Shooter Events are the nation’s number one domestic terrorism threat according to the FBI. Nationwide statistics indicate that it takes an average of 14-17 minutes before law enforcement can respond to a call for assistance, with the average incident ending in less than seven (7) minutes. This seminar will include mitigating the time span of zero to 17 and everything in-between.
We will present two sessions on August 3rd, one from 9:00 til 11:00 am and one from 2:30 til 4:30 pm.
Class Objectives Include: Active shooter response, workplace violence, situational awareness, adopting the survival mindset during times of crisis, rapid reactions when threats present themselves, when to evacuate, evade or act during an evolving situation, timing of reaching out to 911, and effective ways to communicate the urgent message using various technologies.
Presenter Chris Grollnek – For nearly 25 years, security expert and law enforcement professional Christopher Grollnek has been immersed in the study and application of protective measures in the military, police and private sectors. Chris is known as one of the country’s leading active shooter prevention experts.
