Please make plans to attend this one-day course to learn how to detect and prevent an active shooter incident on your campus or business. All too often today, we focus on dealing with the active shooter, arming employees, and dealing with the aftermath, but very little emphasis is placed on the prevention of such tragic and deadly incidents. This course is designed for various campus administrators. Whether your campus is a school, a church, a shopping mall, a bank or a private company - you will learn how to detect and protect your campus from these dangers.
Come hear Chief Susan Riseling, Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief of Police of the University of Wisconsin on how to identify behaviors that often lead to dangerous situations.
A special presentation will be given by Lieutenant Alfred Baker (retired) and Detective Specialist, Anthony Conti (retired) from the elite NYPD Emergency Services Unit. They will discuss their first hand experiences with active threat response, and present the evolution of police response to active threats. Lieutenant Baker is the founder and President of Baker Ballistics Corporation; Detective Specialist Conti is a veteran of both terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Towers. Together these two internationally known experts have trained over 700 police tactical squads worldwide.
