About Us

Our community loves its libraries. The Fort Worth Public Library Foundation provides financial support to enhance educational programming and other library services offered through the Fort Worth Library system.

The Fort Worth Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity created to provide access for private capital to enhance the City of Fort Worth’s delivery of library services for the benefit of the community. Contributions from Library Foundation donors ensure that these programs and services remain free to all the residents of Fort Worth.

To date, the Foundation has raised more than $9 million for building renovations, programming for children, teens, and adults, technology enhancements for library services, and collections of special interest to the community. As the population of Fort Worth grows, the need for private funding to supplement public funding continues.
