Transportation Providers & Services
The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (FWTA) provides public transportation to meet the mobility needs of Tarrant County and the North Central Texas region. Providing ten million rides a year, FWTA operates fixed route bus service, paratransit service, vanpools and the Trinity Railway Express commuter rail line from downtown Fort Worth to downtown Dallas. In late 2018, the highly anticipated TEXRail line will begin revenue service from downtown Fort Worth, through North Richland Hills, Grapevine and then to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal B. FWTA is a regional transportation authority of the State of Texas and is governed by an eleven-member Board of Directors.
