SBA is a federal agency that provides counseling and training, loan guarantees, procurement opportunities for small businesses and also disaster assistance to those affected by a disaster. The free counseling and training is provided by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Counselors for America's small businesses (SCORE); both organizations are funded by SBA and have offices at 1150 S. Freeway, Suitte 229, Fort Worth, TX 76104. During the fiscal year 2013 that ended on September 30, SBA approved 1,522 loan guarantees for $813.1 to the district small businesses.
