About Us

The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) is one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers. Our five schools specialize in patient-centered education, research and health care. Located in the Fort Worth Cultural District, HSC trains the health care providers of the future while expanding the frontiers of scientific discovery.

HSC comprises the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the School of Public Health, the School of Health Professions and the College of Pharmacy. UNT Health, the center's multi-specialty medical practice, provides patient-centered care to people across Tarrant County.

Key areas of strength include Aging and Alzheimer's, Forensic Genetics, Medical Entrepreneurship, Vision Research, Health Disparities and Interprofessional Education. HSC contributes more than $500 million to the Tarrant County and Texas economies annually.
