Westwood Contractors, a Fort Worth-based leader in nationwide retail & commercial construction, is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt McBride to Director of Project Management, effective February 24, 2025.
In his expanded leadership role, Mr. McBride will oversee the company’s project management operations, driving performance consistency and process discipline across all projects. He is responsible for leading the office operations team, which includes project managers, assistant project managers, and project coordinators. His responsibilities encompass recruiting, training, and mentoring team members to ensure seamless project execution and operational excellence. Additionally, he will work closely with Westwood’s preconstruction and field operations teams to achieve project objectives related to schedule, quality, and financial performance.
With 20 years of project management experience, including oversight of large and complex projects, Mr. McBride brings the expertise, strategic mindset, and leadership necessary to elevate the performance of Westwood’s project management team. Since joining the company, he has successfully managed projects for key clients such as Mango, Kohler, Amazon, Planet Fitness, Helzberg Diamonds, and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. His strong analytical approach and problem-solving abilities allow him to proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
Beyond his project management expertise, Mr. McBride has been instrumental in mentoring new team members and fostering strong relationships within the organization, as well as with clients and trade partners. His Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Master of Business Administration from Lamar University provide a strong academic foundation for his leadership role. As a member of Westwood’s senior leadership team, he will play a key role in shaping the company’s business strategies and future vision.
